How Much Should I Water My Lawn?

Lawn, Lawn Care, Landscape, Kansas City, SK Lawn Care

In Missouri most lawns require about 1-1.5 inches of rainfall or irrigation per week.  During the spring time mother nature can provide fairly adequate rainfall to keep a lawn looking healthy and green.  In the summer, it is important to continue watering about 1-1.5 inches per week.  With most cool-season grasses, they will still go dormant during the summer even though you are watering one inch per week.  Although watering will reduce the amount of die-back from the summer heat and drought conditions.
